Going back to the historical legacy, CT College of Education under CT Group of Institutions came into being in the year 2003 under the benign and gracious guidance of S. Charanjit Singh Channi, the chairman CT Educational Society an exceptional leader who embodies dedication and vision. The college is situated in Maqsudan near Amritsar Bypass, an easily approachable location throughout the city as well as outer places. The college is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar and recognized by NCTE. It is a premier institution of North India championing the cause of Teacher Education with an intake of B.Ed. (150 seats) and M.Ed. (50) seats. In the year 2012 the college was accredited by NAAC and awarded A grade .Infrastructure, the very backbone of any institution sparkles in full glow here. A well furnished building with an eye catching campus is the hall mark of CT College of Education. There is a provision of Psychology lab, Technology lab, Science lab, Social Science Lab., Smart Classroom, Computer lab and Art room as well, keeping in mind the all round development of students.. The phenomenal academic achievements of the students have always added glory to the college by securing high University Ranks. The college has a tradition of excelling in extracurricular activities, in which the students continue to bring us laurels year after year. Keeping in view the objectives of the college, all efforts are being made to develop teaching competence beside many other qualities among teacher trainees,. Various bodies such as , IQAC, NSS Unit, Science Club, Language Club , Research Cell, Women Cell, Placement Cell and Guidance and Counseling Cell work hand in hand for the all round development of teacher trainees.
